We’re trying out something new today. We’ll dive more into that over the next few weeks, but one of the big things we’re learning is how to appeal to a broader audience and the crypto audience we already have. We have big initiatives with Stacked, Chubkins and Core Pixels. The core game is currently profitable enough for paid user acquisition. Now it’s time to think about how to expand the audience and create better content that relates to more people.
Heidi first dove into the game and showed off some fun lands and the brand new avatars Pixi Gummies and Dino Gotchis, both of which were just integrated into Pixels. While having a second energy party on Land 179, Heidi gave out Quicksilver to players and fed her baby slug. On Land 2903, she checked out Legacy Animals and discovered the hilarious State of Lukeberty UGC that was made by Billa. Then Heidi visited Lands 4618, 572, 2615, and 850 to feed more Legacy Animals, give out more Quicksilver, and hang out with the community!

Questions from the AMA
Will you ever get your own chain?
We had the opportunity to launch a $PIXEL chain but it didn’t make sense. You might get more token burn for transactions that happen with your token on chain, but the revenue of chains doesn’t have us convinced.
I’m upset at the new update because of the lack of information about how to get things, how to use things… do we have a wiki?
There are lots of Pixels content creators that make a lot of helpful guides online, as well as some sites out there like Pixelore, Pixels Game Assistant Chrome extension, Voxels extension, and more!
Why wasn’t Animal Care update called Chapter 4?
It was a bigger update than we expected and fixed lots of problems we had in the game, but Chapter 4 will likely be when we start to do a mobile and growth push, reworking new user experience. Rethinking some of the early parts of the game, how we can make it more mobile-optimized.
Why is it so hard to get an egg (offspring) from legacy animals?
We get these questions after every update, but not everything is supposed to be easy or else you’ll get bored quickly. The game won’t be fun long-term if it’s easy to complete everything quickly.
Stacked update please!
The backend is ready and the front end almost is too. We want to make sure there’s enough for you to do when it launches and to make sure it’s polished and working.
Luke are you concerned seeing the $PIXEL token going down often and how will that affect the game and everything going forward?
The thing we’re focused on is building something real that people want that has a good business behind it. I’m optimistic about teams that build something sustainable with a good foundation. There are teams in Web3 doing that and I believe Pixels is on the way to that.
Do you see a higher DAU after the update? Will players come back into Pixels? Wen $vPIXEL? #justiceforbob
We saw a small uptick in DAU but a much better increase in economics. Most games do paid UA to get players inside of the game and Pixels has never done that but that’s the next stage. If we have enough margin, we can use some of the RORS on UA.
How are you doing Luke?
The last month has been one of the most motivating over the last few years for me. It’s a very exciting time and I feel very locked in and dialed in right now. I’m excited to get all of this stuff out because it’s so close and the stuff we’ve been working on is good.
Are we still using a smart Taskboard or has it changed?
Smart Taskboard was directionally correct but it was a bad way to do it. We built some good stuff behind it and it set the foundation for Stacked, but what I prefer longterm is smart offer wall instead of Taskboard, with the TB being more gameplay.
Leak?
There will be an upcoming update with the mines. Each mine tier will only give out its own tier of resources.
